A [Delicious] Day in the Life of…Ozzy!

This is a new series (thanks to CrossFit Aspire for the inspiration!) in which we highlight some of the wonderful things that CFCC’ers are up to in the kitchen in their quest to be nutritional badasses. If you’re interested in submitting a delicious day in your own life please email meg@crossfitcc.com. We’d love to see photos and descriptions, recipes if you used them, and any commentary about how you’re feeling that you think would be interesting to our readers.

Our first participant is the one and only OZZY. If you know Ozzy, you’ve probably noticed that he’s a well-accessorized gentleman who has been looking more than a little different lately! He’s diving headfirst into the BCCC (and is meeting with Greg weekly for some one-on-one work) and has been reporting amazing results already.

For example, his current back squat PR is CLIFF. Just CLIFF.

But in "real life" he's also a pretty suave dude.

So, without further ado, here’s Ozzy’s Delicious Day from the man himself:

Breakfast: java tea with pasture-raised fried eggs, spinach, and thick uncured bacon

Lunch: spinach and kale salad with white button mushrooms and red onion. Oh, and disgustingly yucky sardines.

Dinner (post-Shankle Complex): 12 oz stuffed grass-fed burger (with cayenne pepper, garlic, parsley, and black pepper) on a bed of spinach, coconut oil-fried plantains, kombucha, and recovery rice. Gordon Ramsay approves.

“Mixing up tea varieties makes eating eggs every morning much easier to do.  A packed lunch always seems to be the least inspiring meal of the day, so I’m still on the lookout for a better way to do it.  The burger was from Wyebrook and super delicious, especially when paired with plantains which are the tastiest source of paleo carbs ever!  The cayenne pepper addition was so glorious that I’m going to try curry powder and other dangerously spicy things in future iterations!”

“I figure this is pretty good for someone who was afraid of the grocery store a month ago.” – Ozzy.
