CFCC  IN-HOUSE  COMPETITION  2017

The Annual CrossFit Center City In-House Competition takes place on Saturday, February 4th this year. Your fellow athletes signed up, and were drafted by one of the coaches. See events and team breakdown below.

Please note that all events, movements, standards, times, and other variables are all subject to change– see coaches and this page for updates as they are announced!

EVENT 1

EVENT 1A.

No more than 5 team members complete the following, 1 athlete working at a time:

6 min AMRAP:
100 double unders
(20) DL 225#, men’s bar
(20) DL 135#, women’s bar
(20) 30″ Box Jump (Jumping only. No step ups.)
(20) 24″ Box Jump (Jumping only. No step ups.)

STANDARDS:
-standard CF games movement standards, with any modifications to be announced.
-double unders are completed when rope passes under feet twice for each jump
-DLs are complete upon full extension. Bars may be dropped, but if an athlete drops bar before rep is judged as good it will not count.
-Box jumps are complete upon athletes hips and knees being open, and showing control on top of box

EVENT 1B.

No more than 5 team members complete the following, 1 athlete working at a time:

6 min AMRAP:
200 single unders
(20) DL 185#, men’s bar
(20) DL 95#, women’s bar
(20) 24″ Box Jump (Step up acceptable)
(20) 20″ Box Jump (Step up acceptable)

STANDARDS:
-standard CF games movement standards
-single unders are completed when rope passes under feet once for each jump
-DLs are complete upon full extension. Bars may be dropped, but if an athlete drops bar before rep is judged as good it will not count.
-Box jumps and step ups are complete upon athletes hips and knees being open, and showing control on top of box

-ATHLETES MAY ONLY COMPETE IN EITHER 1A OR 1B.

EVENT 2:

Takes place in Liberty Barbell Club

As a team:
EVENT 2A.
7 minutes to establish a heavy clean and jerk. -remaining time may be used to complete burpees-over-bar

EVENT 2B.
7 minutes to establish a heavy 3RM Front Squat
-remaining time may be used to complete burpees-over-bar

STANDARDS:
–weight on bars may never decrease
–score for each event will be highest weight successfully lifted by each athlete added together. (135+225+145+305= Score is 810)
–An athlete may only compete in either C&J OR Front Squat.
–Teams must field a co-ed group to both Event 2A and 2B.
–If a team is short an athlete, a ‘ghost’ score will be determined– in the case of a missing female, by averaging all successful female lifts in the event by other teams.
–Front squats will come from a rack. Rack may be adjusted before time starts.
–Burpees-over-bar completed in each section will be used as tie-breaker for that section win.
(i.e. if 2 teams tie their collective Clean and Jerk, whichever team has complete more burpees over the bar will
-Once burpees commence, no more lifts may take place for that portion of the event.
-C&J: Athlete must bring their feet together and complete jerk to receive down signal from judge.
-Front Squat: Athlete must pass below parallel and fully open hips and knees with bar on shoulder in front rack to receive down/good signal from judge.
Dropping bar before down signal is given will result in a NO-REP.-
-Standard CF Games movement standards
-There will be (1) men’s and (1) women’s bar provided to each team.
-Teams are responsible for setting rack height. Pins must be engaged in racks before any lifts can occur.
-Team must declare weight to judge before attempting lift.
-Event 2B will immediately follow Event 2A, with no stoppage of time (14min running clock).

EVENT 3:

As a team:

15min AMRAP:
STATION 1- Wall Balls (10′, 20# men, 9′, 14# women)
STATION 2- Thrusters 95# men’s bar, 65# women’s bar
STATION 3- Calories on Rower
STATION 4- Calories on Assault Bike

STANDARDS:
Standard CF movement standards
Team may have 1 athlete at each stations simultaneously.
Score is TOTAL REPS as a team, all implements added together.
Athletes may jump between stations, only 1 athlete working at a time at each station
On call of ‘Time!’ Rower/Assault Bike athletes must cease work (hands off of rower, hands/feet off of Assault Bike). Score will be taken when counter settles.

FLOATER– HANGING TOUGH

Entire Team will hang by hands from the red rig for maximum unbroken time.

STANDARDS:
Time begins when entire team has feet off of floor, time is taken when (3) teammates have fallen/had their feet touch the floor.
(1) 10 second grace period will be allowed. (If someone falls off before 10 seconds, team may regroup for final attempt.
Score will be total seconds accrued divided by 2 (.5 points per second of hanging completed)

FINAL– TOP 3 TEAMS TO COMPETE

For time:
A1. 100 Burpee Pull ups — Jumping Pull ups will be acceptable, discuss height standards.
A2. 100 Pull ups
B1. 100 Russian KB Swing (24kg men, 16kg women)
B2. 100 American KB Swing (24kg men, 16kg women)
C1. 100 AbMat Situps
C2. 100 Toes-to-bar
D1. 100 Walking Lunge w/16kg KB Goblet style
D2. 100 OH Walking Lunge w/axle (95/65)

STANDARDS:
–Standard CF Games Standards
–An athlete may only perform either an ‘1’ or ‘2’ movement at each lettered station. May go back and forth (i.e. may choose to do pull-ups and Russian KB swings, etc
–There is no limit to how many athletes may complete either a ‘1’ or a ‘2’, but limited stations and equipment per movement will be provided, 1 athlete working at a time.
–A1 must be completed before A2 can begin
–All events must proceed in the order listed. Burpee pull ups, then pull ups, etc.
–Pull up stations will be assigned to teams.
