February’s Member of the Month is…
Thank you all for your enthusiastic votes, your patience with our delayed decision making – and most of all, thank you for making it really, really hard to choose only one Member of the Month every freakin’ time.
For those of you who are new to CFCC, here’s the jist to get you all caught up. Once a month, our community votes to recognize a single member who embodies the spirit of CrossFit Center City. He/she is someone who has a good attitude, even on the toughest days, is always there to lend support to fellow athletes, and generally goes the extra mile to help build our community to become even more awesome. When it’s time to vote, we send a reminder email out to the entire crew, but if you ever see another member do something really cool for you or the gym in general, feel free to shoot us an email at email@example.com to tell us what happened!
Oh, side note – the Member of the Month is awarded a FREE MONTH OF MEMBERSHIP TO CFCC.
Our February MOTM has one of the greatest attitudes around. Whether he has a successful training session or a tough one, he’s always hanging tough with a smile on his face. been making some killer progress in his lifts lately, and somehow manages to carry his bike up and down the stairs no matter how badly his quads must feel after walking lunges.
Please congratulate….KHANH TRAN!
“Khanh walks into every workout supportive, smiling, driven, and striving for progress. Khanh leaves every workout supportive, smiling, driven, and having had achieved progress. His strength, skill, commitment and confidence in the gym has grown exponentially since he began, and I am excited to see where it all brings him as an athlete in the coming months!”
“Definitely voting for Khanh Tran. Awesome guy in the gym. Works like a horse and with a smile on his face.”
‘”Khanh is a pleasure to coach, and has an outstanding attitude in every class (except when it comes to running).”
“Khanh has made me most proud as a coach for his humbleness and his support. When Khanh first started at CFCC he had much to learn and now that he has become one of our experienced members he has not forgotten how to be humble and supportive of others. “
“Khanh is always open to trying new approaches to different movements. I am also very proud of his improvement in avoiding the “stripper deadlift.”
“My favorite thing about Khanh is that he began at CFCC with no real background in anything that we do here and has humbly created a strong foundation of strength for himself. If I remember correctly, he was a little leery of the barbell the first time we loaded up for his first set of Front Squats in class, but as the weeks, and months have gone by, Khanh has proved himself to be such a capable athlete. In spite of the fact that he had to switch jobs, and therefore session times (he used to be a nooner, but now is a 730pm trooper), he is one of the most consistently attending members we have. He is also someone who is noticeably committed to completing his workouts within the (sometimes VERY frustrating) standards asked of him: his push-ups are chest-to-floor, his chest-to-bar pull-ups would leave NO one in doubt, and his olympic lifts and power lifts are not only growing in size, but becoming more and more a thing of real beauty. He enjoys his time at CFCC, and I think for that reason is a joy to coach and a real pleasure to be around in class. Congratulations, Khanh! You totally deserve MOTM!”
Congratulations, Khanh, and thanks for making CFCC a better place to train on the daily. Enjoy your free month of membership!
