Workout of the Day: Saturday, 1.4.13


Whether you’re new to CFCC or have seen every incarnation of the BCCC-now-called-RECHARGE – the nutrition seminar is for you! Grab a cup of coffee after you train tomorrow and join Meg and Perrin to chat about nutrition the CFCC way, and how it relates to everything from your sleep to your deadlift. We’ll cover:

The basics, briefly: Protein, Fat, Carbs and Micronutrients; why it’s important to keep ALL of these in your diet, and what are the best and worst sources of each. We’ll touch on the amounts you should be shooting for on a day to day basis.

Why It’s Not Just About Food: What you eat affects everything from your body composition to your performance to your recovery. We’ll talk about the importance of keeping ALL of these things consistently in check 

More Than Just “Paleo”: How we should look to our evolutionary biology while remembering the context of our modern world to achieve optimal health.

1.  Stone and keg to shoulder work, work up to something heavy, then 3 sets of 2m of said heavy thing.  Alternating sides.

2.  AMRAP 10m:

1 lap Left hand farmers walk
1 lap right hand farmers walk

*one lap is 30 feet down, 30 feet back.  Athletes may use axle bars, farmers handles, kettlebells, or dumbbells.
