Workout of the Day: Saturday, 6.22.13

All classes today are cancelled for the Liberty Barbell Classic (running from 9-4pm) but that doesn’t mean you can’t get your fitness on.  If you’re at home, try this one on for size!  Also, if you are signed for tomorrow: bring your jumprope, water, and running kicks – we will be outside but MEET AT THE GYM!



MOVEMENT PREP: Spend some time in the Wall Quad Stretch at home (remember to squeeeeze your butt and start in Spiderman instead if you feel any pinching in your lower back).  Complete 20 Samson Stretch Style Walking Lunges.

SKILL/STRENGTH WORK: Work on being upside down for at least 10 minutes!  Practice your tripod, your kick-up, your handstand push-ups, or your free-standing handstand!

CONDITIONING: AMRAP in 12 minutes: 10 Push-ups, 10 Jump Squats, about a 100m Sprint.

And best of luck to all the lifters from LBC and the surrounding clubs competing!  All the LBC lifters from below are lifting heavier than the video below.  It’s AMAZING where their discipline has taken them and I can’t wait to see them crush the PRs tomorrow!
