Below, Young Daniel Bove many moons ago: a solid member of our Regionals Team who has ALWAYS been as crazy as he is today. Danny has been a critical part of taking CFCC to Regionals since this time last year. He and Morgan went to Regionals to watch Paul, Perrin, and Record crush the competition as individuals and ever since that time he’s known that 2014 was his year to shine, errr or sport a sweet ‘stache and get a CFCC-themed pedicure (No, really. Ask him to take his shoes off). Either way, I couldn’t be prouder of the Coach and the person that Danny has grown to become in the last few years that we have been lucky enough to have him at CFCC. He plans to leave in late July to continue his formal education in Florida and I know we will all miss him dearly. That said, he’s not leaving until he takes CFCC’s Regionals Team as far as it can go!
WORKOUT OF THE DAY:
MOVEMENT PREP: Lax Ball Hips, 5 minutes. Set up 3 x 16 feet of planks and complete: Lunge Walks, Lunge Walks with Hands Overhead, Lateral Lunge, Single Leg Deadlift plus Forward Reach, Bear Crawl Forwards, Bear Crawl Backwards.
SKILL WORK: The Turkish Get Up
STRENGTH: EMOM for 8 minutes: perform 1 Turkish Get Up on each side. Move up or down in load as needed.
Three rounds for time of:
Row 500 meters
12 Deadlifts: body weight
21 Box jump, 20 inch box
*Be prepared to go in heats in the larger classes.
